Nihilism

from Certainty by Tuberz McGee

about

Chiptune and vocals don't generally marry.
But when they do, it's glorious.
I'd like to think that this track is an example of such, regardless of its depressing and down-beat nature.

lyrics

I feel the tension, the tension's running high.
No apprehension, tonight it's do or die.
Running and hiding, near out of sight.
You keep on fighting, to erase the light.

And some days I just keep hurting,
As I stare at the empty place inside.
And some days I just keep fighting,
As the road I walk simply divides.
And some days I just keep wondering,
Why I find myself in this curled up little ball.
And some days I'm nihilistic,
and some days I just hate the world.

I crawl. I hide. I scream. I try. I feel. I know. I hate.
These feelings ripping in my chest I do reciprocate.
With power, and tools and darkness everything is nothing more.
And moving back instead of forwards, I've seen what's in store.

And some days I just keep hurting,
As I stare at the empty place inside.
And some days I just keep fighting,
As the road I walk simply divides.
And some days I just keep wondering,
Why I find myself in this curled up little ball.
And some days I'm nihilistic,
and some days I just hate the world.
