Obligation
04:18
|
|||
I signed my name in blood,
and now I've got to write a song or two it's true. Wheyy heyyyyy-----
I've gotta write 10 songs,
It's gotta be much longer than an EP. Whoahh. Lucky me.
I've got an obligation. A sticky situation.
And nothing else will do.
It needs a single that will make the album seem quite cool.
I've gotta write a fuckin song. To satisfy the label.
But nobody ever buys the second album.
I've gotta write a shitty song. To satisfy the label.
Cause nobody ever buys the second album.
Maybe because it's an ill-informed business practice.
They said they'd cut me off,
If I don't give them something they can sell. Wheyy--- Oh well.
They told me to write a hook,
The part that people sing when they don't know, the lyrics that well.
I've got an obligation. A sticky situation.
And I've read a book or two.
About how to write a song that sounds like you've--
Gotta write a fuckin song. To satisfy the label.
But nobody ever buys the second album.
I've gotta write a shitty song. To satisfy the label.
Cause nobody ever buys the second album.

Here I am again,
Standing at the edge of my despair,
I just wish that I could care.
They said they hired a guy,
A dude who write them songs in exchange for cash,
Or something weird like that.
He put his pen to paper.
He seem like such a faker.
Writing beautiful poetry.
It's too refined it just don't really sound like me when

High School Sucks
04:54
|
|||
Am I ever gonna leave this highschool,
Nobody seems to care,
I thought we all were living,
On the outside and not in there.
Am I ever gonna finish Highschool,
Does it ever really even end?
Do I give a shit for what I'm learning?
I guess it all depends.
On the sunshine,
One the daydreams,
In the morning,
With my friends.
How I'm feeling,
In the evening,
when the day,
Finally ends.
It's a big thing,
I've been thinking,
In the spare time of the,
Weekends.
I guess it all depends on you.
I woke up last night in bed,
Looked at my phone and shook my head,
You wanted to talk about some 'guy'.
You went into graphic detail,
About the way he made you feel,
But I don't give a shit so bye.
Aren't you
22,
Start acting like it.
I don't really,
Give a shit,
So why do I keep,
Giving you advice.
I'd better think twice.
You told me that your mum's a bitch
You'd throw your dad into a ditch,
But don't they pay your bills.
Your brother's such a fucking dick
Because his job's so fucking sick
3 degrees was all for thrills.
I wish that you could see that
I don't really
Give a shit, but
I need to explain the fact that everything I say
Comes from a place of utmost
sympathy and everything I
do is all a way of shrugging
off the prior day.

You are very beautiful,
I want to marry you.
I don't really understand your language.
It's unfortunate...
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,
We're kind of good-for-nothing,
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,
I want to become someone who can speak Japanese,
but,
I can't speak Japanese.
I'm a foreigner, right?
Please help. Is there actually a tomorrow?
I don't really want to study at university.
This is so troublesome.
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,
We're kind of good-for-nothing,
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,
I want to become someone who can speak Japanese,
but,
I can't speak Japanese.
Anime and manga,
Television and movies,
Anime and manga,
Can't really teach me.
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,
We're kind of good-for-nothing,
I can't speak Japanese,
I can't speak Japanese,
Japanese is difficult, I'm sorry,

Imposter Syndrome
04:48
|
|||
How did I get to here?
Alone in this soft-spoken room.
Walls are all painted in black.
Covered in those I've pursued.
So please don't go.
My parents said so.
I'm okay.
When did I lose my wings?
Or did I just hover in place?
Thinking I'm rising but I might be falling.
Coming dead last in the race.
So pleased to know.
Everybody says so.
|--CHORUS--|
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not who I am.
I've got this empty bottle.
Waiting so patiently for me at home.
Why did they hold me so dear.
Eventually I would disappear.
Since I've absconded, they've all responded with
Condolences year after year.
So what do I do?
When they haven't a clue?
Who I am?
What is chance of all this?
Hiding in truths made of blissful thinking though
I do not care for these words.
But it's fair to say I've been dismissed.
So what can I say?
Have I got another way?
|--CHORUS--|
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not who I am.
I've got this empty bottle.
Waiting so patiently for me at home.
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not really me.
I've got this empty bottle.
So quick to join me, but so quick to leave.
I may not be myself, but I know who I want to be right now.
I might be someone else but they are them and I'm not lost I'm found.
I take for granted all the things I have been gifted here I know.
I took face value of the things that I was always told.
|--CHORUS--|
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not who I am.
I've got this empty bottle.
Waiting so patiently for me at home.
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not myself.
I've got this empty bottle.
All of this drinking is bad for my health.
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not who I am.
I've got this empty bottle.
Waiting so patiently for me at home.
I've got imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome. I'm not who I am.
But if I'm forced to be me.
I've got to say that I'm one lucky man.

Pants Shirt
00:55
|
|||
He's got pants on his shirt and his shirt on his body.
But no shirt on his pants and I guess that he's sorry to say...
He's a pants shirt guy not a shirt pants dude
He's got pants on his shirt and his shirt on his body.
Though he may not be fly, he's most definitely not shoddy
to say the least I think he keeps it real.
I think he knows his deal.
I think he got it for a steal.
Twelve ninety nine
That shit was on sale
He's lookin fine
He's a pants shirt guy
Twelve ninety nine
That shit was fuckin unreal
He's lookin mighty fine
He's a pants shirt guy

Unawerewolves
03:27
|
|||
You've all been acting kind of strange,
Since we all hung out at Brad's place,
I'm just not used to this,
There so much more than meets the eye-----------------
You've all been going out at night,
You look like you've been in a fight,
With an animal,
It's not understandable that you don't know---------------
But it's clear to me,
That you don't seem to see,
They're unawerewolves, they are werewolves, but they don't know that they are werewolves,
They don't know. How could they not know?
They're unawerewolves, they are werewolves, but they don't know that they are werewolves,
They don't show... any chance of not being werewolves that I know.
I rolled on over late afternoon,
You were all howling at the moon,
And I just can't believe,
I'll get but no reprieve from you---------
You know I've seen you on the news,
They say a hunter shot you dead.
You've got a bullethole,
You said that you fell down the stairs---------
That's not quite plausible,
But my pleas, they are inaudible.
[CHORUS]

Sophia
04:34
|
|||
Sophia, you're such a stranger.
But no stranger than you and I,
When we said it was do or die,
And then we didn't.
Sophia, you didn't falter,
But you didnt ring true,
You put your face to the glass and said
"I don't want to look at you"
As if it were just a mirror.
It's like the sun and the stars,
They're all just one in the same.
They're just like lights in the sky,
And all I know is your lights going out on me.
Your lights going out on me.
The world is bright as it is,
And you're no brighter than me.
But was I looking through glass,
Cause all I feel is your lights going out on me.
Your lights going out on me.
You held your ear to the door,
Just to hear what I'd say bout you,
We were secretly going through,
Two one sided conversations.
Sophia you closed the door,
To keep the bad guys in.
But inside this broken house,
Neither of us can tell where we've been.
And if we're in or we're out.

Problem with your Name
03:53
|
|||
One step back,
I take one leap forward and now I'm ahead of the pack.
Sink or swim,
I've been walking on ice, but that ice is startin' to thin.
Now I know that we're both here.
You try to talk but I don't care.
Cause everyday is just the same.
I've got a problem with your name.
You know that I've got time,
but just cause I've got time for me,
Don't mean that I've got time for you,
It never seems to end.
You think since I've got time,
that time doesn't belong to me,
listen to the hypocrisy,
when will it all end?
Fight or Fly,
Is it safer to run, or is it safer for an eye for an eye?
Give me space,
I've got a problem with your name, and an even bigger problem with your face.
[CHORUS]
Black and White,
I'm gonna paint my house in the blood of the wrong and the right.
Start again,
We've had a bad track record and now we're reaching the end.

Therapy
05:03
|
|||
I went to see my therapist for the first time yesterday,
He said hello my name is Tom but you can call
me by another name, if you'd prefer, to call me
by another name.
Apparently my family thinks I am too aggressive,
I can't believe that they'd tell me my behaviours
excessive. I think it's warranted. But they don't
think that way bout me.
Chorus:
You see I got a lot of feelings doc, they're in my heart
and soul. You get the feeling doc that I don't ever
seem to have control. You know I get this doc, I just
feel locked away from who I am.
And I don't think I think I understand.
The first four sessions I felt like a game of
cat and mouse.
But you were much more like a pigeon watching how
much bread the man thinks he can scatter. And I don't
think it seems like much.
After a month or two I noticed quite a change.
It's something chemical it much all these pills
inside my brain. But that's okay. A man don't talk
about these things.
You're so invested in my private life affairs. But
honestly that susan down the halls makes noise
without a care it's ruined my sleep patterns. I keyed
her car the following day.
Hey doc, I think I made a major breakthrough
here today,
I'm not okay, but I'm okay to say that I don't feel okay.
Is that okay with you?
Breakdown:
The-ra-py,
It's like I got another,
friend for free,
Except it costs a fortune.
The-ra-py,
I'm talking shit but you're still,
There for me,
But only for an hour.

Everything's Done
02:25
|
|||
Everything's done, there are no more ideas, to be had, no everything's done.
He said what she said, and they said it all, there's no more, cause everything's done.
Woke up this morning and I felt like a change, nothing I'm doing seems right.
But sometimes things work because they seem deranged to everyone elses' delight
Brewing my coffee, and watching the news, nothing seems joyful I guess.
But it's such a drag to be woeful and so, I guess that's why I'm not depressed.
Everything's done, there are no more ideas, to be had, no everything's done.
He said what she said, and they said it all, there's no more, cause everything's done.
Put on my shoes, and I walked down the road. Saw a big billboard ahead.
A guy in a suit with a slogan to boot, but I know that that notion's quite dead.
What you might think, and what you might say, aren't just exclusive to you.
And you're doing well if you get one a day, at the fine age of old twenty two.
Everything's done, there are no more ideas, to be had, no everything's done.
He said what she said, and they said it all, there's no more, cause everything's done.
